Building on six years of program history, the Pahara Institute— a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization— was founded in 2012, dedicated to identifying, strengthening, and sustaining diverse, high potential leaders who are transforming public education. Pahara’s programs support leadership for education reform. Our aspiration to be a more equitable democratic society, while combined with the requirements of the knowledge age economy, demand far more from our public schools in order to prepare our children for successful futures. Today there is a growing community of education leaders and innovators who are spearheading new approaches to better serve all students, especially those in low-income communities. These leaders and their organizations demonstrate that we can educate all of our children to the high academic levels they need to succeed in the 21st century.
Pahara is committed to providing equal opportunities. We serve diverse organizations, and are committed to non-discrimination. It is our policy to ensure that all individuals with whom we are in contact are treated equally without regard to age, race, disability, gender, marital status, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, expression, gender identity or veteran’s status.
Pahara provides competitive compensation and an attractive benefits package including full health care coverage for employees, and access to 401(k) accounts with a matching contribution policy.
