BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Alicia Bolt is privileged to serve as the Associate Superintendent of Jubilee Academies, a Texas public charter school that services Pre-K3 through 12th grade students. Jubilee Academies currently has campuses in the Rio Grande Valley, Kingsville, San Antonio, and Austin.Her main responsibilities include building capacity amongst campus leaders so they can effectively lead their schools in order to improve student outcomes.

She was born and raised in Matamoros, Mexico, where she began her educational journey. As a learning leader, Alicia has constantly pursued her professional growth by earning numerous degrees, including a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Construction from Centro Universitario del Noreste, a Bachelor of Arts in Pedagogy with a minor in physics and math from Instituto de Ciencias y Estudios Superiores de Tamaulipas, a Master of Education from Texas Pan American, and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Brownsville.

Alicia had the opportunity to work in public schools serving underprivileged communities in both Mexico and the US. Her roles have included classroom teacher, instructional facilitator, assistant principal, and principal. She has also had the opportunity to impact school leaders across different regions in the state of Texas as a project manager for Region 18 Education Service Center.

Alicia takes special pride in supporting novice teachers through the Charles Butt Scholarship mentor program and is a 2012 Harvard Principal Institute alumni. She is also an active board member with a non-profit organization called the Children’s Bereavement Center.
