BIOGRAPHY

Carmen LoTurco is the founding Executive Director of the Lone Rock Foundation, a nonprofit retreat dedicated to empowering the K-12 education community. Stepping beyond traditional hospitality, she now channels her expertise into shaping transformative spaces that inspire growth, connection, and future possibilities for educators and leaders alike.

Leading the Lone Rock Retreat is both an honor and a calling—one that perfectly unites her deep operational expertise with her passion for building strong, purpose-driven communities. With a commitment to creating meaningful and lasting impact, Carmen is redefining how immersive experiences can elevate education. ¡Qué chévere!

Carmen is a visionary leader with over 25 years of expertise in Operations and Human Resources, spanning both branded and independent hotels. Over her 18-year tenure at Sage Hospitality, she played a pivotal role as VP of Operations before advancing to SVP of Human Resources. In this capacity, she led the evolution of Sage’s Employer Brand, spearheading talent acquisition and leadership development programs that cultivated high-performing, mission-driven teams.

With a unique blend of operational insight and people-first leadership, Carmen is known for her dynamic perspective and authentic approach to building empowered teams that drive excellence while fostering a culture of care and purpose.

Beyond her professional achievements, Carmen is deeply passionate about travel, the arts, cooking, and exploring the great outdoors. Her dedication to community impact is unwavering—she actively contributes to the health and growth of Lone Rock’s local community through her service on the Bailey Theatre and Beautify Bailey boards.

As someone who thrives with a rare disease, these words from Frida Kahlo inspire and guide her daily.

“At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can. Passion is the bridge that takes you from pain to change. There is nothing more precious than laughter.”
