BIOGRAPHY
Caroline’s work is rooted in more than 20 years of experience in public education, education innovation, management consulting, and engineering. She has lived the life cycle of school creation and transformation, serving as a teacher, mentor, coach, founding principal, and investor in innovative school models. Her diverse background enables her to bring a unique perspective to systems change, blending analytical rigor with a deep commitment to equity and justice. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia, a Master of Education in Learning and Teaching from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a Master of Science in Administration through New Leaders for New Schools, a principal training fellowship.
Caroline is a certified yoga instructor, bringing mindfulness and intentionality into her leadership and educational design work. She also serves as the Capstone Co-director for the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education (UPenn GSE) Education Entrepreneurship Master's degree program, where she mentors aspiring educational innovators to create sustainable, impactful solutions for schools and communities.
As the founder of 228 Accelerator, Caroline’s mission is to redesign the relationships and systems that normalize oppression and accelerate the journey toward a more inclusive and just society. She explores innovative organizations and learning models that optimize the role of relationships, leverage technology, and empower individuals as agents in their own transformation. Her work integrates equity-centered design principles with a focus on fostering healing, collaboration, and agency.
Caroline’s approach reflects her belief that lasting change begins with reimagining the ways we connect, learn, and lead together, making her a powerful advocate for systemic transformation in education and beyond.
