BIOGRAPHY

Dominique Morris currently serves as chief people and operations officer for the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools, an in-district transformation organization serving 20 Los Angeles Unified schools in South Los Angeles, Watts and Boyle Heights. In this role, she has revamped the organization’s compensation system, coordinated a new five year strategic plan, and served as interim chief executive officer during a period of significant transition. She is a product of Los Angeles Unified schools and is dedicated to making our public education system work better for all students.

Dominique previously served as a policy advisor in Los Angeles Unified’s deputy superintendent’s office and provided strategic support on a range of issues, policies and projects including development and coordination of the Black Student Achievement Plan, and the district’s initial $5-billion spending plan for one-time COVID relief funds. She has also held leadership positions in New York City’s Department of Education and San Jose Unified School District in areas of talent, strategy, and operations.

Dominique holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s in Public Administration from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University. She’s also a graduate of The Broad Residency in Urban Education, an intensive two-year leadership development program.
