BIOGRAPHY
Dwight Ho-Sang Jr., a native of New York City and the son of Jamaican immigrants, believes fervently in the power of education to transform lives. As a first-generation college graduate, he has devoted his career to serving scholars in historically marginalized communities, traditionally underserved by the educational system.
As Chief Schools Officer at Legacy Early College, a 4K through 12th grade charter network in Greenville, South Carolina, Dwight oversees network schools' growth, sustainability, and academic success. His leadership focuses on advancing equity, implementing holistic student and community-centered strategies, and fostering a healthy organizational culture.
Dwight comes to Legacy with over a decade of leadership experience with KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, where he served as head of schools and principal. Under his leadership, KIPP WAYS Academy was honored as Georgia Charter School of the Year, thanks to its consistent ranking in the top 10% for academic growth statewide. Dwight began his career as a Teach for America Corps Member at Dunbar Elementary School in Atlanta Public Schools.
Dwight holds a BA in economics from Williams College, an MS in urban teacher leadership from Georgia State University, and an MA in instructional leadership.
