BIOGRAPHY

Ed Chang is the founder of Urgent Humanity: a consulting firm whose mission is to support organizations’ ability to “do good” while simultaneously working on their ability to “be well”. Previously, he served as the founding Executive Director for redefinED atlanta, a non-profit dedicated to ensuring that every student in every community in Atlanta has access to a great public K-12 education. For over 20 years, Ed has worked as a champion for high-quality public schools and intentional organizational culture. He has raised over $50 million dollars dedicated towards systems change for education in Atlanta, and has helped organizations across the city be more effective in reaching their outcomes. In addition, Ed has provided executive coaching and strategic planning support for companies across the country for over a decade. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology and a master’s degree in physical therapy from Washington University in St. Louis. Chang also holds a master’s degree in secondary science from Mercer University and a Certificate for Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.
