Geoff is the Founder and Executive Director of Launch Expeditionary Learning Charter School. He began his career as an NYC Teaching Fellow in 2003 and taught middle and high school ELA for 6 years at MS415 (Wadleigh!) in Harlem, NYC. Geoff then spent a year as a leadership fellow at High Tech High in San Diego before moving back to Brooklyn to open Launch. Geoff is also the founder and Interim Executive Director of the Runway Green Education Collective, which is building an education campus and ecosystem located on a 1,000 acre national park in Brooklyn. Geoff has a B.A. in English and Creative Writing from Middlebury College, M.A. degrees from City College and HTH Graduate School of Education, and an Ed.M from Teachers College. He is the proud husband of a fellow educator and father of three wild boys. He loves the outdoors and is currently trying to maintain a growth mindset while he learns how to surf.
